Yes! some dj’s don’t mc, but i’m happy to say i do both.

COVID-19 postponements

covid-19 continues to be an unfortunate burden in our lives. while it may have changed when we can party and how many of us can party together, darryl j. weddings will continue to deliver the ultimate wedding experience to our clients on their reserved date as long as the florida governor allows the venues doors to be open.

in the event that the florida governor closes Florida venues again, we will provide a courtesy transfer of your deposit to a date that we are available to perform. We try our best to work with our clients and appreciate those that successfully work with us to ACCOMMODATE their needs.

what’s your style and what makes you different?

dj’in is much more than playing music. It’s knowing how to read the crowd. It’s transitioning various music genres for diverse guests in a way that brings them together for the love of music.

i’ve taken the time to develop hosting, scratch and transition techniques that give you the club experience, all while guiding you with a seamless wedding flow and voice that is organized and concise. i give you a new york city/Miami vibe with a twist of sophistication.

my musical talent is unquestionable, but what i appreciate most is that i always leave my couples confident that their wedding will be the best party all year. there’s no ego, just good music.

I’ll absoutely play some of the songs on your list, but i’m a dj, not pandora lol. If you want a dj that plays every song until the end or every song on a fixed list one by one, i’m not the dj for you. if you want the ultimate wedding experience, i’ve got you.

how do i secure my wedding date?

all we need to secure your date is the $500 retainer and signed contract. then you’re all set!

how many meetings do we have?

the initial consultation and the final meeting after you’ve completed the custom wedding entertainment agenda are all we need and you’re all set. if you have any additional questions, send us an email or call. you’ll get a response within 24 hours.

all meetings will be either via video call or conference call. we do not perform site visits or attend reherasals as we bring everything we need to perform at every venue and prep you before the big day. also, we’ve more than likely performed there before.

how quickly should i reserve my date?

i typically sell out a year in advance. i’m currently accepting a limited number of 2024 weddings and I am now accepting 2025 weddings.

all dates are on a first come basis.

will darryl J. be my dj?

Yes! You’ll only work with my associate dj if you were told before your reservation.

can i add more time?

absolutely! the time after your reserved package is at a rate of $200 per hour.

do you have back up equipment and a back up dj?

Yes and Yes. I always keep back up equipment ready to rock your wedding. in the small chance that something prevents me from attending your wedding, I always have an associate dj that I’ve personally trained to give you the ultimate wedding experience on standy by in case i’m sick.

do you do private/Corporate events?

yes I do! My entertainment rates are the same as the pricing above regardless of the type of event. each experience is incredible and tailored to your needs.

do you create custom mixes for choreographed dances?

You can now add a custom mix as an upgrade for your first dance. choose the “in and out” timing on each song as well the fade volume or echo out effect to transition each song. Receive one free revision. Enjoy this upgrade with up to 4 song selections. if you’d like more songs, it is $25 per additional song.
